Penny Black, Loads of Love

Hello Happy Crafters!  Today is my turn to post on the 7 Kids College Fund Store Blog. I was going to do this card over but ran out of time.   I did have had a lot of fun creating it and got my inspiration from a fellow designer, Mackie Robertson to try mix media! So here is my first try at it. First, I air brushed the sky with copics - they're a little bit darker in person.  I spread Crackled Texture paste onto the crocodile stencil. It is so cool the way this stuff works!! It literally cracks as it dries! The texture stones were airbrushed with Copic markers. I must say - I enjoyed doing it. I think if I did this scene again, I would add some trees in the background to give it a little more umph!

Supplies:
Penny Black Loads of Love
Crocodile Tim Holtz Layered Stencil from Art Gone Wild
Crackled Texture Paste by Wendy Vecchi by Dreamweaver
Metal Palette Knife from Multicraft Imports
Mini Pop Dots from All Night Media
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Neenah Solar White Paper
Score Tape
CuttlePillar Pro ABS

Don't forget about our challenge which is "Anything goes" this week!

Just A Note - Your Next Stamp

Today, sitting here looking out the window and wishing we could just have a few days in a row without rain. So I am sitting here pretending I am on a warm, sunny beach with crystal blue water reading a book with the sun shinning down on my face. A girl can dream, right? LOL

It is time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge and it's your favorite theme - Anything Goes!

There are many times, I wish I had cards for simply nothing at all! To let a person know, I was thinking of them.   "Ellie Loves Music" by Your Next Stamp is exactly what I wanted and if I need a quick birthday card, or sweet love note - I have them too!:).

Starla, C.C. Designs

Hey it's Friday! This is a very special day for it's my mom's birthday and she is 89 years young! She still drives, grocery shops, lives alone and one of the most independent person I know. She's my best friend and it's hard for she lives in Arizona and I in Maryland. I go and visit her 2 -3 times a year and stay a few weeks each time I go. You would love her as much as I do if you had the opportunity to meet.

Well, today is my turn to post a card in C.C. Design Blog and I chose Super Hero Starla to use today. BTW if you love super hero stamps, you need to check out this month's release at the store for it is loaded with boy and girl super hero's with dies to go with the set.

Happy Weekend!

Twila, C.C. Designs

Today I am showing Twila, a rubber stamp from the C.C. Designs new July Releases! This is the first time I really used my Copic Airbrushing and really like the way it turned out. For the stars I took a stiff brush and dipped it into the Copic Opaque White and flick the brush over the paper. I added Stickles to her dress and boots. Everything on this card is from the new release including all the die cuts.

So come check out the store for not only the release stamps and dies, but everything else you might need!

This adorable stamp is Lucy with Teddy! So adorable and you can create so many different theme cards with her. Today, I created a Fourth of July party card for a very special birthday girl!  The stitched flags on the side were created with the new Make A Card #7  dies featured this month.  By DIEzyne Pierced Rectangle dies were used to cut out  the image and the layers of card stock behind it. The 6 x 6 paper pad is by Doodlebug Patriotic Picnic. Super easy to create!
