Foxy Friend

Happy Wednesday to everyone!   I have this adorable Sweat Pea stamp set for you to view! I love this adorable fox.  We have a real fox that we see occasionally.   Our house backs up to woods and  one day my husband said "look, look!" and dang there was a red fox in our backyard. He wondered down to the cal-de-sac and cross the road to go to another section of woods. Scared the poop out of me and 3 weeks later our fenced was installed. I have two small dogs and ... we got the fence!

This stamp set comes with 7 sentiments, fox on the stump and two leaves.  More for the buck!! 7 Kids College Fund Store  prices are the cheapest around and this makes a super bargain!

Blow Me Away by SugarPea Designs

Good day! Hope everyone is doing great and  your having lots of good crafty days! Today I am using "Blow Me Away" from SugarPea Designs. I love this stamp set  for it so versatile.  You can place a piece of cake. kite, pin wheel in his hand and match several sentiments to your card ex: Thanks for the lift,  You mean the whirl to me, You blow me away and more" So dang cute! The border die cuts are A2 Curved #1 Bordablitities Card Maker by Spellbinders.  The dies are awesome - I die cut the paper and I was practically done! The dragon was colored with Copic Markers and I took 91% Isopropyl alcohol and wet a piece of terry clothe with it. I laid it on top of my image and pressed down for 3 seconds and it gives you this cool texture look!

Supplies:

Before I go I have to tell you that Tab, owner of 7 Kids College Fund - a huge online craft store has placed a lot of cool things on sale in the store! She is cleaning up so she has room for all the new products that will be coming.  Come see and check it out for yourself!

Party With Bamboo

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  Brrrrr  Where are you? Are you getting any of these snow storms and frigid cold, windy weather like we are in Maryland? Me thinks it's time to hibernate and stay in doors crafting and making cute cards! How about you?

Today I am posting my card that I posted in 7 Kids College Fund Store Blog.

Today's card was a really fun card for me. It's as close to Clean and Simple as I get! Always want to add one more layer or one more embellishment.  I do love the way this turned out! My sweet daughter-in-law loves, loves loves shoes and I had her in mind while creating it.  The image is "Party With Bamboo Party Paws Collection" by Crafter's Companion.  I choose to create my own sentiment using Microsoft Word on my computer.  I changed the font a few times in each line to make it more interesting.  I covered the flower with a paper flower and it fit perfectly!

and colored with Copic Markers.

Bella With Flowers

Time for another fun challenge at 7kidscollegefund.com and this week it is "Anything Goes" with no twist. However, to win the gift certificate to the store you must use an image that 7 Kids College Fund sells or their products if you are not using an image.

I chose today to create a card using a Wild Rose Studio Stamp and this one is Bella with Flowers. I am in love with all of the Bella Stamps and the paper pads from Wild Rose, they are very pretty and coordinate with the stamps.

Bamboo Party Paws

Can you believe it is January 21 already? Did it fly by that fast for you too? I can't stand this!! Remember when we were kids and it seemed like it took forever to be 16 years old so you could finally get your permit?  Golly, jeepers don't close those peepers or it will be Christmas again:)

Do you know how many products  7 Kids College Fund ( Crafting) Store carries?  You would be amazed! Go visit and look around and the best thing is!! If what you  are looking for is not found in the store, Tab will order it for you with no extra cost - how cool is that!?

This was a quick and easy card to make using the C.C. Designs - DieZyne Dies. All the DieZyne Dies have stitches going around the borders and I love that I don't have to drag out the sewing machine - look how crisp! I used the circles to cut out my image and the half circle to cut out the pop up part of my easel card.   What does the half circle do? Well, visual is better than reading  so I am adding the link to the tutorial here. and trust me - it is easy peazy! My card was created with this adorable image:  Bamboo Party Paws by Crafter's Companion and it comes with 3 sentiments and a cute little butterfly stamp.

Twist of Snow

Hello Happy Crafters! Is it cold where you are? It's 7° here today with a wind chill factor of -15° and that is just a tad to cold for me. But what an excuse to spend all day in your craft room since it's too cold to do anything else. But ohhh what a mess I have created!   I look around my room and I know if a Fire Marshall would stop in - I'd be shut down - there's no room to move.  NONE. Oh well, the show must go on!

Are you ready for another fun challenge at 7 Kids College Fund?  The challenge is as always "Anything Goes" but this time it has a twist of snow!

I didn't want to make a Christmas card - you know kind of burned out from creating so many a few weeks back!  So I chose Heidi by Sylvia Zet,  her coat and boots are totally adorable and she's bundled up  and  ready to play in winter's snow.

Well, I wasn't sure if I like this one to be for a snow challenge so I created a CAS with the same image

7 Kids College Fund Challenge Dec. 31

Hello happy crafters!  Well, it surely has been awhile since I have last posted hasn't it?  It's been a long year and so glad the new one is here.  I have been going strong in the crafting world for five straight years and it caught up to me and I did a crash and burn.  In the beginning of my crafting career I was on many design teams and  I created The Outlawz Challenges that consist of 8 challenges and 48 - 55 designers....whooooaaa!!  I filled 40 -50 card orders for customer and each card was totally different and I would fill the order within 3 - 4 days. Yep there were a few orders that I stayed up all night to complete. And, yet I still thought that wasn't enough so I became the owner, publisher of  "Through The Craft Room Door Magazine" I had a great time producing the magazine  but near the end I started to dread it more than enjoy it and my stress level went way over the top. The stress was high enough to interfere with my health and I was told to get rid of the stress. So after building it up with sweat and tears for two 1/2 years - I simple gave it away. But that was a good move for me to do and slowly I see me turning back to my good old self instead of the cranky witch..

So I took the last three months off and literally did not do anything except veg on the couch. Weeks went by and I didn't even go into my craft room and I didn't miss it. UNTIL I had a very good friend come and visit me.. You probably know her, Rhea Weigland.. Rhea taught four card  classes at my local craft store and I of course had to be there!. At night Rhea and I would talk about new ideas for paper crafting!  And, then this dang crafting bug bit me right in the derriere. I caught the fever to create once again! And as you know me that wasn't enough to keep me happy so I went to Tab/7 Kids College Fund Craft Store and asked her if I could return to the design team and she said "YES"  so what better way to restart my blog, showing you some of the wonderful products you can buy at 7Kids College Fund Store and the beginning of me creating once
 again.

The challenge for 7 Kids College Fun is "Anything Goes"  Yeaah one of my favorite challenges and I know it's  your favorite too! My card today is using the sweet Bubble Girl created by Mo Manning for Penny Black - Isn't she a cutie pie?!
