Tuesday's Party Time!

Hello friends! Did you enjoy your holiday weekend? We had a quiet day at home which I believe was the first year we didn't spend it with my parents or any of the kids and it was nice!  We made dinner together and usually you cannot have both of us in the kitchen at the same time and we did just fine!! Well, we're both still alive!! Only kidding! A lot of the western states are getting snow and so far we have had none...last years 60 inches were enough to last me awhile!

It's Tuesday and ya all know what that means by now! It's party time! Awesome blog and especially this time of year when your making Christmas cards, place settings, gifts and what knots. It is nice to take a break and do a birthday card, which has nothing to do with Christmas! Well, that is what Party Times Tuesday is all about...making birthday cards! You still have a challenge, but a birthday sentiment must appear on the front of your card!  I received an order for 3 boy's birthdays cards from the age of 9 -11. Making men's cards rather they are 2 or 92 is always a challenge for me. I am so used to putting  flowers, ribbons, bling or bows on my cards! Are you the same really makes you stop and think? I was smart enough to ask if they were in any sports or  likes or dislikes and here is the reply I received: one likes TV computer games, another  plays football and the last one likes to ride his bike.  Well, the next question I had was what are the school colors for the football player, black and green.  I had that one and the computer games picked. But, I didn't have an image for the bike rider. Well, let me tell almost killed me, but I figure all boys like baseball and being in Baltimore the colors should be orange and black......I apologize Pittsburgh, my home town of black and gold!  Presenting my 3 birthday cards for the boys! Don't forget to visit my team mates for Party Time Tuesdays for they have awesome creations for you! You can visit them through my side bar too!

This first one is by Mo Digital Pencil and you can find it here.
The next two are from Kenny K and you can find them here!

Did I do okay for boy cards! Plain and simple!

     Tip of the Day:

Big blog hop on December 4 with lots of goodies including one on my blog!

A new blog is starting the beginning of the new year and the challenge will be to make a Christmas Card all year long... so we don't end up in this hurried mess again next year!! heehhe  It is the CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge by Debbie Harris. Right now she is having a blog candy giving this beautiful paper from My Mind's Eye! Isn't it pretty? You only have until Midnight tonight to sign up for this great DP so RUN on over!

    Party Time Tuesday

Hello blog land! Ya know I keep promising myself that I am going to post every day and before I know it almost a week has gone by.  Good thing I belong to several DT's so I get on here a few times a week! Can you believe in 32 days...think about 32 days Christmas will be over with!!! I am like stunned. I had several card orders and kept putting them off and off and really believed I had another week to get them done...well, the shock of my life was when I realized this week was Thanksgiving and I had five cards to get done NOW....talking about freaking out!! And I don't know about you, but when I am stressed out my MoJo goes for a hike! I'll tell ya, I just couldn't think and it seemed like every card looked the same, but with a different image on it. LOL You know I have a friend who lays awake at night and imagines sketches for her cards. Not me!! I make them up as I go. Do you know how your card or layout looks like before you start? I would really like to know the answer to that!!! For I surely don't. I tear a card apart several times before I am done. Once in a blue moon I will have a card  from beginning to end go as smooth as silk and I relish them!!

My card today has a sweet Mo's Digital Pencil image and I just love her. I think everybody has one or two of Mo's images for they are the cutest, sweetest and even funny ones! If your not familiar with them...check her site out and I promise you will not be disappointed. There are images for everyone's taste!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge Blog  is all about making birthday cards!! Each week no matter what the challenge is.... you must have a birthday sentiment on the front of your card!! This is a blog you want to belong to for if you are like me...I am always behind with birthday cards!! Let me tell ya, you will love PTT and don't forget to hop on over to see the wonderful creations my team mates have made to inspire you!!

Tip of the Day: You have card stock, dies, markers, punches, glitter, flowers, but your tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Well, let me tell ya...if you want to learn 100's of  new things you can do with all your gadgets and supplies then Gina K TV is where you want to be. She has video's on almost anything you want to learn, all in one easy location. And that is HERE

    Party Time Tuesday!

Hello my friends and a happy Tuesday to you! I have been MIA for the past week. My daughter, Amy is moving back home to Pittsburgh from the middle of PA. I watched Abbie and Andrew while she and her friends were loading the moving truck. I am back home now and have to much to get done. Can you believe Christmas is 40 days away??? Yikes! Did you start your Christmas shopping yet? Not me! We are going to Florida to see two of our children and their families for the Christmas holidays. I think we are staying home for Thanksgiving this year by ourselves. It will be weird not having any of the family around, but we'll enjoy the four day weekend together! I have to get lots of cards made before then! Tonight I received a 20 card order...wahooo  lots of work! So I best get moving here!

It's that time of week to enjoy Party Time Tuesday's challenge. It is one of my most favorite challenges and here is the reason why! It's Tuesday's Party Time, It's Tuesday's Party Time

Good morning!! So how many of you remember Buffalo Bob asking "Say Kids, What time is it?" and everyone would scream "It's Howdy Doody Time!" Oh no! Did I just give my age away? LOL. The old TV shows were so different from today and what we remember can be funny!

One day at the gym I said to one of the girls "Ok Kimosabe!" which is an expression I have used since I was a little girl. She quickly looked at me like I just insulted her and said "what did you call me?" I busted out laughing, once again I was showing my age. Kimosabe is what Tonto use to call the Lone Ranger and it means "trusted friend!"  Oh, when she had no clue what I was talking about...I felt ancient!

Ok, so who's been going around stealing the Mojo? Mine's gone, gone, gone and I want it back! First it is stolen from my friends and now mine...geeesh! Oh well, the show must go on!

It's Party Time Tuesday! Do you want the best challenge blog ever? Well, look no more for Party Time Tueday is here! So what's so great you ask? Well, let me tell ya!! There is one requirement, on top of the challenge of the week and it is you must have a birthday greeting on the outside of  your card! Now be honest, wouldn't it be nice to have all your B/D cards done before you actually need them? I think so!! So come on over and join the fun!! This week challenge is an inspirational challenge and the colors are Red,. Black and White!

        Several things not to forget!
        • Free Copic Classes over at Simply Scrapping Crafts and the awesome Copic Challenge Where you can win 2 Copic markers or 2 Variance Ink refills just by playing!
        • Teddy-Stampers   one year anniversary blog hop which runs until November 18.  Awesome prizes to be won, including one from me!! You can read all about it in the below  listing
        •  Party Time Tuesday is running a DT call and trust me you will love the DT . Kristie and Di are two of the most wonderful people to work for!  So come on over and put in your application and join the fun!
My card for the DT Party Time Tuesday is very simple using the photo below this one for inspiration.

I really wasn't happy with the card above so I tore it apart and came up with this...which, not sure what to think!
        Maybe a tad better!

Tip of the Day:   Cleaning your Copic Markers.  We have all experience the messy markers after using them a lot. Did you know when the inside of your caps are build up with dried ink,  you can actually cause your marker harm. You will no longer have an airtight seal.  What can happen is your ink dries a tiny bit in the nib and what you will might notice  is your paper will become tacky and sticky. So now what do you do. Carefully remove your nib and place it in a small plastic baggie with either 97 percent alcohol or your colorless blender solution. You leave the nib in the bag and after it turns white return it to the marker.

Cleaning your markers is very important and you want to clean inside the caps and around the area at the end of the marker where the nib slides into. You can clean it with Colorless Blender solution, rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer. Do not put the hand sanitizer on your be honest I don't know what it could do and I just would not try it!

        DT Party Time Tuesday!

Hello everyone! Did you have a great Halloween? We had over 150 children! I made up 60 little bags of candy for my grandchildren, Abbie and Andrew's preschool and wasn't home in time from my parents to mail them.  So I gave them first to the neighborhood kids and within 20 minutes all 60 bags were GONE!  Panic mode set in, but we had enough!

Ohmygosh, I have to tell ya what DH did!! We bought mix bags of candy and the other night, I walked into the living room and there was a big pile of candy wrappers. He looked at me and said "you know tonight they had on the news about certain candy bars not being good for the children and parents should throw them away, they have too many calories" as he pops another one in his mouth and he continued saying "so I am just saving the children!" I thought I was going to pee my pants!! What a hoot!

Several fun announcements today!! My card is for Party Time Tuesday. PTT is a  Birthday Card Challenge Blog with new challenges every Tuesday.  This week is anything goes so come on and join us, we all need birthday cards!! • Let it dry overnight before coloring.
        • As soon as your image comes out of the printer, put clear embossing powder on it, click all the extra embossing powder off by turning it over and flicking it with your thumb then heat set.
Have a great day and see you tomorrow!!  Big thank you for stopping by today! Hugzzzzz
