We got the master bedroom painted and I am loving this new color! It's like a teal and so very pretty. Why is it when you paint one room the rest of the house goes into shambles? There were messes everywhere I looked but today I was able to put most of it away.
The card I am showing today was specially made for one of my best customers. Her niece is in nursing school and it's her birthday. I found this adorable image in my files that I purchased a long time ago and forgot I had it. It's from Mo's Digital Pencil! Perfect! The colors I used for African American Skin was E29, E13 and E11 and I am still getting a lot of red:( If you have a color combination for AA and it doesn't show this much red, please share with me!
Green: G05, G03 and YG21. I added a touch of W00 to the creases of her hat and coat to give more 3 D effect. Bear: E44, E43, E41. Shirt: YR68, YR63 and YR20,
The scrolls were made with my Silhouette Cameo!! I love this machine and it is worth every penny! Esp. when you know you will never be buying another Spellbinder or other types of Dies again. It does it all and so very easy to use:) The bow was created using "Bow Easy". Stitching around the edges. I love this card and the way it turned out!

I am so happy that you love your Cameo....
Such a great card and wonderful colouring! I also love the Silhouette - I don't have the Cameo but the SD which I've had for about 3 years and has been well worth it :)
Beautiful my friend, your AA colour skin tone is just perfect. I'd be too scared to attempt it... LOL I have a Tilda that would look nice in an AA skin tone. Beautiful work, hugs Sharon xx
Lucky customer, Colleen! This card is just darling! I love your coloring and I think the skin tone is great! I always think the stitching looks so cool on a card, but I never do any. Too much trouble to drag out my machine--LOL--I'm lazy, what can I say! Love the pretty bow, too! :^)
Hope that humidity doesn't get you down too much. You could always come back to dry AZ! :^)
Hugs,
Penny
Your card is so so adorable Colleen ! I love the image - the teddy is too cute ! - and the flourishes look stunning ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
Love this card Colleen! The expression on that little teddy bear's face is too cute! Big hugs!
Beautiful creation, Colleen! I think the coloring is fab and lovin all the details - scrolls, stitching, papers!
Oh this is really sweet .. I don't think tone is too red but try using the T0 or N0 neutral markers (I think Debbie mentioned that in our class) ....am thinking may make the investment in the cameo, can't imagine not getting any more spellbinders though LOL
Gorgeous card, Colleen!! I love the way you colored Mo's adorable image. I have a Silhouette SD, which I love, but I want a Cameo so bad I can taste it!
Hugs,
Anne

I think your card is awesome! Here's something I got from awesome colorist Jayleen over at Gurukitty. (I have actually tried and LOVED the technique!) Color your image yellow then go back in with your browns. One thing about skin, there's always some undertone. Mine is yellow - like peanut butter or a bread loaf's top crust. Some are red... I've seen her do green on skin. Here, see for yourself!
