Happy Birthday Renae

Happy Friday everyone! Happy Birthday Nae! Yep my baby turned 35 today - Holy crappo did I say 35! I should be that age! It is true the older you get the faster time flies!

YAY three day weekend for those who live in the states. Hubby is home today because Baltimore is preparing for the  Grand Pix Race starting tomorrow and trying to get into the city is almost impossible.   DH's office over looks the Inner harbor and the streets the races are on - guess where we will be!?!  Yep,  food, drinks  and AC watching the race in comfort!

Today my creation is Renae's birthday card - sadly I am notoriously known to be late with sending my greeting cards to my family and friends. I had this card made before we left for vacation and well......

The adorable image "Happy Mail"  by Elisabeth Bell  I made a card very similar to this and changed the colors of her outfit and placing the bow between to eyelets created with a  Crop A Dile.
Copics: Skin E000, E00, E11. Green: GO5, GO3, G00, W00. Lavender: V25, V22, V20, V00. Grey/Mailbox: W3, W01, W00. Grass: YG25, YG23, YG67.
Memory Box Die: Whimsy Circle
Ribbon - Olfry

That is an adorable image, Colleen, and you colored it beautifully. I love how you tied your ribbon with those eyelets.
Blessing hugs,

she will love it! funny how so many of us are "postal procrastinators"
enjoy watching the races (-:

Better late than never, Colleen, atleast you send cards to near and dear ones. I just take them for granted and get more thrill by selling the cards rather than sending them... and then I have another excuse, snail mail is so darned slow here. Even though the post offices are all computerised and all that.
When you spoke of Baltimore, it reminded me of my dear Aunt who lives there... she used to work in a hospital I think as a Clinical Sociologist or something like that. Her daughter works for the JHU as a scholarships officer.

Enough rambling - Lol... your card is as delightful as ever, love the bonnet on her and the colours are royal. LOVELY!

Have a pleasant weekend with the Grand Prix,

Colleen, love the pretty papers and colors you chose to go with your darling image! She is too sweet and colored beautifully! Love the die cuts, the stitching, and those great eyelets (I need to try that sometime, too!). Your daughter will love getting this card! :^)
Oh, and just wait until she turns 40 like ours did this year. THAT makes you feel old!! LOL!
Have fun watching the race in comfort! And have a great weekend!

Gorgeous card. Love the image and the colors you chose. Also, I like those little loopy things on the side. Is that twine? I'm sure Renae will love it no matter when she gets it. Reminds me, my oldest has a birthday coming up in 2 weeks. Better get started on her card. ;)
