Rudolph Whimsy Stamps

Happy Wednesday everyone! I had an exciting last week. My g/f  Jenee and I went to New York city to see the Rockettes Spectacular Christmas show. I have been wanting to do this for years. We could not have had a more perfect day. The weather was bright, sunny and in the 60's. We took a tour bus to the city and I was able to walk for blocks and blocks. I did it wisely and went to my RA physician 2 days before and had two steroid injections to my hips that made tit possible for me to walk. The show was spectacular - oh gosh, if you ever have the chance to see it GO! After the show we walked down 5th avenue to see the store windows. I was a little disappointed for they weren't what I call Christmas store windows. Instead they  were high end fashion. We were unable to make it to Macy's though and we heard was the best one to see an old time Christmas window with Santa and animations. My parents used to take us down to Pittsburgh every year at night and we would stand in awe over all the creations in the displays. I love Christmas time - not for the weather, not for the gifts, but for how friendly and jolly every one is everywhere you go.  I remember the trains, carpenters, elves and dolls that were animation and Santa on the chimney top. L We rented a horse and carriage and rode around central park - I mean literally around it!! The perimeter! We were still able to see a lot of things from the carriage. The guide was nice and showed us where Madonna, Robert Denero, Tony Bennett and Lady GAGa lived in their penthouses. Tony Bennett's cost $4000.00 a DAY!! A DAY - can you imagine?

I love this adorable image Coleen and such a pretty design.
Sounds like you had a wonderful and exciting time. I cannot believe anyone, know matter how much money they had, would spend such a fortune daily on accommodation. The mind boggles.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Hugs Sharon. x

What an interesting post, Colleen. I grew up not far from NY City and my mom would take me, by bus, to the city to see Santa in Macy's. I remember playing the kazoo that he gave me all the way home. Bet the other riders loved that! LOL! I never got to ride in the carriage; what a wonderful memory to have. I'm glad you had such a good time. Love the card too. Very cute and festive!
